• 70% of the general population (ages 45-75) is classified as intermediate risk.
• Over 65% of cardiac events occur in patients at intermediate risk.
• More than 68% of myocardial infarction events occur with mild stenosis (≤50%).
• About 40% of myocardial infarctions result in patient death within the first hours.

In the majority of cases, myocardial infarction is a SUDDEN OFTEN FATAL EVENT without preceding signs and symptoms.
